John
I’m John Cono, a multidisciplinary artist who expresses through painting, sculpture, installations, and micro-artistic creations. My work reflects on contemporary life—its contradictions, silences, fragilities—while always searching for connection and meaning.
I often use everyday materials, transforming them into metaphors of our inner and social landscapes. I believe art can mend, provoke, and reveal, and I’m not afraid to explore themes like fear, memory, or isolation.
My path is independent: I don’t follow trends or markets—I follow thought, craftsmanship, and emotion. Art, for me, is both a language and a responsibility.

It is a contemporary art district located in the Dashanzi area, within the Chaoyang district. It was born inside former military factories from the 1950s, which have been transformed into galleries, studios, museums, cafés, and exhibition spaces.
